Our 2020 scholarship winners combat COVID-19!

The last year has held a many changes for MFTAC. We did not have any applicants for our scholarships last year, and as a result, we have decided to expand our focus. In the past we focused exclusively on local high school students who intended to pursue a career in film, theater, or other performing arts. We now still accept applications for these arts, but we now also accept applications from all local artists and craftsmen/women, regardless of age! Therefore, we have changed our name to Mountain Film, Theater, Arts, and Crafts.

Because of the current COVID-19 crisis, we decided to address the urgent need for technology that helps prevent the spread of the virus. Therefore, we have given our scholarship to two local residents, Kim Paolini and Toni Veronick, who have combined hand-sewing with 3D-printing technology to create masks, filters, and goggles to prevent contracting the disease.
