The Mountain Film & Theatre Arts Scholarship committee is proud to present the first-ever annual scholarships to two students seeking to pursue and further their career in the film and theater arts.
High school seniors planning to study performing arts after graduation must submit a monologue of three minutes for consideration. Monologues longer than three minutes will not be considered. Entries should be submitted online via Film Freeway (at no charge) or on a DVD and include the student’s name, origin of the monologue and the character’s name.
A panel of judges will select the top five students who will be paired and prepare a scene that is three to five minutes long. The scenes, to be presented at The Tudor House in Lake Arrowhead in front of an audience, will be filmed for the judges.
Two students will each be each awarded a $1,000 scholarship.
Applications are available through the College and Career Office and must be returned no later than 2:00 pm on March 31, 2017.
